WOW!! What a difference 1/4" or so can make- I like the Navy, Chocolate,
and maybe Maroon, dependant on the body color.
Chose the Navy first because of the contrast; a rule of thumb (so I hear) is to
NOT use high contrast with this type of hat- it tends to cut the hat in half;
in this case, the Navy is complimentary to the body color- if you could post some photos with natural lighting, or at least proper (not dead-on flash)-we'd
all get a better picture (OY...) of the true colors of things.
Again, this from a thin-ribbon guy- (I count 21 of 'em in the library...)

Go with the wider ribbon- looks terrific!!:eusa_clap

BH, All nice looks but I have to vote with Hadley. The Navy Blue and the Maroon/Brown in 1 7/16" both look terrific and the proportions of ribbon to hat size appear to be right on. Nice work and thanks for sharing this with us! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

I like the gold as well. The two-toned ribbon made of gold and navy sounds sharp as well! Now that I think of it, those are the Navy's colors....

Go for the Gold

with the two tone bow. There are plenty of brown hats out there with dark ribbons. The color combination looks great. Maybe maroon and and gold for the bow.

Yeah, that sounds great....but the Gold I have is an inch and 1/4. [huh] Also, I'm hoping I can pull of this 2-tone Bow. lol If anyone has any pics or how-to's, please do share.....

You know,
I'm thinking the bigger ribbon will be fine, I think the flair part will be the band that cinches the bow itself. Do it navy with the gold running as a stripe in the middle. Take a piece of gold, lay it flat, and fold a piece of the navy on either side.
like this:
Navy/Gold/Navy

Once you iron and tack it together, it will look sweet!
