Me too! I think Helen Mirren's more my role model though :eek:fftopic:

Mirren made me laugh when she said about doing cocaine until she found out she was being sold it by a Nazi. :D

DVT is a great performer, and had probably the best boob job I've ever seen, well done that surgeon! :eusa_clap I have an underwear set she did for Wonderbra and it's lush, but she's not my idea of 'vintage' more pin-up glamour.

She's boring in interviews. She speaks in a monotone. She rarely gets emotional or excited about anything (at least the interviews I've seen.) Just Bleh. Her appearance would have you think otherwise that's why I've always been indifferent to her.

People I know who've met her in person says she's quite nice, engaging, and interesting to talk to. My impression is that what Rosie Beau said is quite true:

I don't think she expresses much of her personality which leads people to believe she doesn't have one.

I would chalk up her seemingly unanimated persona that comes across in interviews to a relative disinterest in playing PR vapidity game, which is refreshingly not very "Hollywood," when you think about it. . .

Doesn't she look lovely here?

She does look beautiful, although I don't think that purse is the right thing.

I wonder if any plastic surgeons do 'vintage' boobs jobs with pointy implants instead of round ones...

haha maybe, or you could stick to bullet bras with inserts, cheaper and less painful :D I know hers are the 'teardrop' type that's all...

Is it just me or does it look like she has rather dodgy looking hair extentions in the pic on the left [huh] She is a beautiful woman but I wouldn't say I was or wasn't a fan, I'm kinda indifferent to her.

And I think this entire look is too cute. I want to steal like everything she's wearing. Actually, can I just be her? Minus the burlesque part? I prefer to keep my clothes on in front of people, thank you. :p

Kiri, she's a lovely girl, but let's not be naive. She has done a lot more than burlesque and Playboy, things we can't even talk about here at the lounge. Let's just say that she made some "sacrifices" to get where she is at today.

I've heard somewhere, I think in a movie, that if you "marry a rich man, you'll pay for it in other ways." I almost feel sorry for her, since she had an unhappy marriage, but she can't undo her past.

Her boyfriend is cute, I've seen them together, I do hope that they are happy together. I like her style and she has lovely clothes, when she actually wears them...

Really, it was her decision not to go too big that should be applauded. I have a friend who is a plastic surgeon in Miami and he spends a good amount of his time trying to talk women out of those huge balloons.

I know what you mean Tourbillion. I just like her clothes and her hair and everything. :) I suppose I'm slightly jealous of her fair skin as well, even if it is sometimes scarily pale. My skin is naturally olive toned, which is nice, but it doesn't have the same vintagy effect. ;)

I love dita. I've had a lot of Dita comments since I went black. I love the whole burlesque thing, not so keen on the 'ahem' things she did, but I admire the way she got to where she was from being a 'stripper' to being a showgirl,
if you know what I mean.

I think despite her job, she's pretty classy! And people don't think of her as a stripper, more of a performer, which I think was pretty well done.

I know a lot of people don't like her, but I really like her, and as worrying as it may sound, I'd love to be a burlesque dancer, I just definitely lack the talent/body!!!

I'm a big fan of Dita and her style. I love her wardrobe, makeup, and hair, and I like how she mixes modern designer pieces with vintage. I also think she's done a nice job of bringing back a little bit of vintage glamour to the fashion world - even if that means that many girls equate "vintage" with "Dita."

I don't know that I'd call her a "role model." My opinions about her are based 100% solely on her appearance.

At first I wasn't a big Dita fan -I even stated that in this topic- but lately she is getting more appealing to me. Can't really put my finger on it why.
I absolutely adore her cointreau advertisments, although that 90s one alittle less!
