I'm rather ambivalent about Dita. I guess I don't really know enough about her to have a strong opinion. However, there's no denying her beauty! I like her underdog story too; it's pretty humbling to think about how she went from being a small town stripper to an international symbol of glamor.

Anyway, I just saw some pictures of her in Jean Paul Gaultier's A/W 2011 runway show and thought of this thread:
Dita von Teese & Jean-Paul Gaultier
Apparently she was his muse for the whole collection.

I think she's very well put-together, actually. She makes an effort and she'd not mainstream, so she stands out to the masses more than others do.

I'm well aware of various other 'jobs' she's had and it doesn't bother me a bit. She's very upfront about it. I figure I'd rather not judge anyone until I've been in their shoes.

Although I never went the route she did, I can't say that I'm an angel (who can?). If I did, I'd be struck by lightening lol, so to me it doesn't matter how she got there, she's there ;)

Anyway, I don't give a damn what she does for a living, I just love her style.

There's some good coverage on her personal tastes in Instyle's February 2011 issue. The girl's got style!

Not sure if anyone has said this yet but, Dita is coming out with a book on how to do vintage hair and makeup called "Dita's DIY Glam". She had a one page ad for the new book in the new January 24, 2011 OK magizine. The book will hit stores mid 2011. Looking forward to it!

She also has a spread in the February issue of the US INstyle Magazine showcasing her house! Unfortunately, I don't know when it comes out in the UK.

Interesting thread! I love looking at photos of Dita, she's inspirational in her style and beauty and her hair is always perfectly smooth! Gorgeous. Wish I could have black hair like her - I'd just look like a ghost!
