OK, I know DD won't toot is own horn, so I will. This is a great looking "jacket". Check it out. I think it's one of the best of it's type I've seen!

Hey Butte friend, I love it! One of the most beatiful cafe racers I have seen for ages. Good taste again but when you sold your A-1 you totally misstepped

Buddy ol' pal. I certainly did NOT want to sell it. But when I lost 35 pounds and a full size in a jacket, it was simply too baggy. Trust me, I lusted after that piece ever since I saw Allen's pics. Got it and was in love. Good for me I lost the weight. Bad for me I lost the weight. :(

Glad you lost 35 pounds but that was the jacket. THE JACKET. A fix by your local taylor, a donation to your local museum, a lease to Goodwear Leather for replication,. whatever! I have been into leather jackets for ages, you know it, and I still haven't seen such a beauty like that A-1. That jacket was epic. If I close my eyes, I still can remember those leather accents.

I asked JC about doing alterations before I sold it. If the expert said not to try it, then I had to go with that. I was willing to pay to get it done of course, but I took his advice. OTOH, he made up for it with the Ventura. I feel almost bad that I like this jacket so much because it's kept me from really putting effort into getting another jacket.
It also helps that I'm broke. Thanks to construction and my daughter's wedding, I have to like what I got for a while...and cry over that A-1. Thanks pal lol

I don't know a thing 'bout construction in California but when it comes to chose between your daughter's wedding and that beautiful A-1...
