If we're talking pies I'm definitely savoury.

I'm from NZ where you can buy meat pies everywhere, the local shop, petrol stations, pubs, bakeries, etc. They are the most popular "fast food" back home and we must eat millions everyday.

If I had to pick one though, it'd be the classic Kiwi steak and cheese pie :essen:

I saw Georgia's hometown mama Paula Dean make one last week. Looked mighty good.

Sorry about not including 'citrus pies', lemon merengue and key lime.
Seems some of you like the 'savory pies'. Guess you can also include pizza in that category.

Since this place is about all things vintage, I could have chosen the quintessential vaudeville finale pie, the 'shaving cream pie' in the face.
This slapstick gag was also a frequently seen in many of the old Mack Sennett silent films. I for one was never a fan of this kind of humor.
