It's cool! Dickies had been making these off and on for decades.

Any similarity to a certain poser-fest overpriced $550 knockoff must be purely coincidental.
The one above is a BEN DAVIS. A well known SoCal trend hailing from San Francisco. These are not super easy to find. I will post the new Dickies version soon.

Just binge read this Thread…

Blue Bell experts, what’s the story behind Maverick and Wrangler? They seem to be the exact same thing except Maverick has the chest pocket stitching upside down “M” vs “W”.
Thanks!

My quest for the perfect (for me) denim jacket goes on. Another vintage one from the 80's end. They are the right length, just covering the belt, and not like the ones made these days for very elongated skeletons (do such beings even exists?)

OMG! Is that a Charro? I remember this brand and the little embroidered roses from when I lived in Italy in 1987. The kids wore these with their Western belts and Avirex A-2s.

Given how old some of these jackets are they are holding up extremely well. I'm surprised how long lasting denim can be.

i think this is a 90s repro from the fading.

But yeah the Edwin collab is nice.

There's so many repro's sold as original, its a real minefield.

I have liked this model for some time! I need a 40....
Not difficult to find the MIC on Yahoo Auction JP. Trouble is the price is all over the place for this not very well made jacket.

The rarer and better made one is a collaboration with Warehouse jeans that is made in Japan by Warehouse.

The seller did say it is a reissue from 90s. The information missing is where it is made and that it is actually not that rare say compared to the Warehouse one.
There were two models made by Edwin, a 1930s and a WW2. There were also two models made by Warehouse, a 1930s and a 1930s blanket lined.

For the price the prison blues chorecoat is a no brainer.

Highly Recommended.

Not yet had one of their jackets. Have had a couple of pairs of the jeans, though, and very pleased with those. Just picked up a new pair of the work-jeans, actually - the UK-based, EU distributor is having a closing-down sale. Means I'll have to order from the US next time, though fingers crossed that might work out just a little cheaper, which is some compensation.

Worth the effort IMO. I also purchased one in black lined. Both together came out to $136 stateside. My Dickies 12 oz was $99 alone. The hickory shirts are also great.
