Hey Trench:@AbbaDatDeHat
Ha, I watched the relaunched Levi's safari-jacket just yesterday online.
Could you tell me the weight of it? That would be very nice!!
Anyone ever hear of a leather trucker with full action back? Seems logical as truckers tend to have lines where they would be in a Mc jacket.
Wrangler did a model with shoulder gussets. Also, there seems to be a lot of these Polo RRL denim jackets (in different versions; regular, with blanket or fleece lining, with or without hand-warmer pockets, etc.) on eBay though I don't know if they're styling it after anything in particular or if the design is their own.
Looks like one of the old Polo jackets. Looks really nice quality. They closed down the Denim & Supply so they only have two producing repro styles now. The problem with Polo is they started using inferior materials. Moving production to save costs is not a huge issue for me but using inferior materials too? I used to buy a lot of Polo products but not anymore because of that.My one and only. I usually stay away from Polo these days with the exception of RRL, if the price is right. Just too much branding. Found this Authentic Dungaree model; how many different lines do they have? Branding was subtle enough and the jacket was inexpensive. Picked it up almost two years ago. Denim is fairly heavy with a cotton blanket lining and quilted sleeves. Wasn't crazy about it being pre-distressed but it wasn't overdone. Weighs just under three lbs.

This is an extremely nice jacket. Love the contrast between the denim and the fun blanket lining. The colors are just so cool. Just awesome.
Hey Bob: you might try tumble drying it on air (no heat) and several tennis balls for an hr or two at a time. YMMVWashed my new-old-stock Big Ben in cold water and let it air dry. It didn't get any softer...

Cool jacket!
Ha ha. Well, you’re in the right place here. Among friends! LolThanks Bowen (and Jonesy). I'll probably just wear it and hope I don't fall down (as I'm not sure I could get back up).
Can't get much where I live. You guys are lucky.
I have been trying to find a decent fitting denim jacket since a vintage GWG jacket I picked up at Value Village, had given up the ghost about 20 years ago. It probably cost me about $5 back then since no one was after old denim in those days. Thick denim, snap closures and a beautiful inigo fade. Man, I really miss that jacket.
I've been suffering with new, ill-fitting Levis crap since then. I don't even know where to begin with the Japanese stuff. Most denim jackets have sleeves that are too long so maybe some Japanese brands may fit me better.
