Archetypal Sixties rock chick, as the press dubbed her. More famous for being Mick Jagger's squeeze for four years, that and her addiction to heroin along with being a lifelong heavy smoker is what the British press dwell on.
Later in life she suffered with Bulimia nervosa, an eating disorder that causes you to eat large amounts of food at one time (binge) and then get rid of it (purge.)
It's really rather sad that one so talented is headlined for her lifestyle, but that's what sells newspapers, or so our press keep telling us.
Yeah very sad, they don't mention she was a author and good song writer also :(

Jerry (The Ice Man) Butler: If the Beatles, Chuck, James and Aretha were "S" Tier then Jerry was a solid "B". With solid top 10 hits from the 50's to the 80's he proved to be a versatile musician whose distinctive smooth deliveries earned him the moniker "The Ice Man". Small discography off the top of my head.

Make it Easy on Yourself - Penned by Burt Bacharach
Your Precious Love - Penned by Curtis Mayfield
He don't Love You - Curtis again
Only the Strong Survive
Mr. Dream Merchant
Never Gonna Give You Up
Moody Woman
Ain't Understanding Mellow

This one really hurts me.

Roberta Flack: Like Jerry above, Ms. Flack had a varied and distinctive career and sound. She could do Jazz with some of the best of them, ballads and her duets with the late Donny Hathaway were outstanding. I wasn't a big fan but she was on my radar.
