Jerry Buss, owner of the LA Lakers died today. He was 79.
Country music star Mindy McCready was found dead Sunday at her home in Arkansas from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. She was 37. This after years of struggles with alcohol, drugs and mental illness.
McCready leaves behind two boys, one of whom is 10 months old. The infant's father, record producer David Wilson, killed himself last month.
Doesn't get much worse than this. PC.
Actor Richard Briers, known for The Good Life, passed. He was 79.
English singer Tony Sheridan, best known over here for having the Beatles as his backing band for a time, especially on his single "My Bonnie", a copy of which, it is believed, convinced Brian Epstein of NEMS Music to check out a local band. Very sad, and not old at all really:

Davy Jones of the Monkees is dead a year today. Still much missed.
