This is the first I've heard, Lizzie. That's horribly sad. He did wonderful work over a long period of time. Rarely are graphic designers considered to be real artists unfortunately, but he certainly should be.

Archduke Franz Josef Otto Robert Maria Anton Karl Max Heinrich Sixtus Xavier Felix Renatus Ludwig Gaetan Pius Ignatius von Habsburg. Short name: Otto von Habsburg. Son of the Austro-Hungarian Empire's last serving emperor.

Agreed. "Back to Black" was one of the few pop albums in recent years that I felt was good enough to buy, and a sound well worth supporting. Watching her old live performances on Jools Holland, you couldn't help but say to yourself, "c'mon Amy, please clean up. Music needs people like you."

Lucian Freud, the last Habsburg, and Amy Winehouse. I just finished listening to "Back to Black" in honor of the last; I may reread "The Fall of the Dynasties" in honor of the second, and look at the colossal ugly (but amazing) nudes of Freud in honor of him.
