Like most I was introduced to LBM and their great rhythms and music thanks to Paul Simon's Graceland.
Like you, it was through Paul Simon that I first heard LBM. Earlier today I saw a picture in the 'Shoe' thread that Cindy had posted, I commented on such an amazing shoe. It really looks like: Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes.

More sad news, and again, such a relatively young age.

Ja'net Dubois, perhaps best known for being on the show Good Times, has died, aged only 74:

Dirk Pitt has died! Or rather, his creator, Clive Cussler has passed away at the age of 88. RIP. Although not a frequent reader of his, I will nonetheless be saddened to live in a world with one less avenue of escape for grown men wishing to temporarily inhabit a universe of international travel, lost shipwrecks, ancient mysteries, dastardly conspiracies, and derring-do.

Your comments perfectly reflect this on-rare-occasion reader of CC, with this add, my girlfriend was also a fan - he did have female fans. It was an author we discovered we had in common when we met 23 years ago. One of my best friends, who was a big CC fan (who sadly was killed in the WTC attack on 9/11), told me she was a keeper upon learning of this fact.
