very nice... congrats
can't wait to see the whole hat
Sadly, neither one of us will. Hit "buy it now" on Ebay, only later to receive a full refund with an explanation that they sold it for next to nothing at a garage sale the day before! Perhaps someone else here scored it; I hope so, it looked absolutely beautiful.

What to do? To console myself I contacted Art Fawcett this morning and started the process of getting my first hat from him.

Ugh
That pisses me off

Happened to me once... I bought a beautiful Playboy on eBay only to receive a refund and a note from the seller telling me that he gave the hat to his brother

I was like... uuhhhh ... what?

So...I just purchased a hat with this logo (same Premier quality) on the tip and sweat...(showing sweat here)....it is a derby with an attached wind cord.....so....how long was this used?? I assume it would have been introduced in the early 1900's as Stetson was proud of the medals but was it used through the 20's? the 30's? when was it discontinued?

Thanks,
M

1900-1915, from what I've gathered. In 1915ish timeframe the logo changed into this to celebrate the 1915 Exposition, and this went on into tje early 20s. after that i haven't seen any others, only an earlier example from the late 1800s timeframe

Watch for it though. I'll bet it was a reseller that bought it and it'll resurface on the bay
