Here's a great letterman style jacket.

Love the GT-R. I sold mine a year ago.
Jesus Christ you had one of those? I like that more than the R8 haha :D

I'm about to have my ultimate jacket:

I don't know what car is supposed to go with this, but if I could have any car it would be:

Definitely in purple and with a twin turbo LS motor for ultimate tire shredding. I probably won't be able to afford one until it's legal to import one into the US anyway :p

OK, how about an East West Barnstormer.

Or the Aero version, which is slightly simplified.

The top one is an Ibis reproduction, and looks like it's based off a Café Racer style. So I'd find some blackmail pictures of John Chapman, and convince him to build one off his J100 pattern. I'd get it made out of the natural Vicenza horsehide, and add a few tweaks to make it more motorbike friendly.

As for a ride, I'd be tempted by a Triumph Thruxton R.

I'd like a repro made of this Sears (same as the one Clooney wears in that mediocre movie Leatherheads) without the belt. I love that it is clean without the ugly pocket flaps you generally find on a long half-belt.

Looks a lot like an Aero Northeaster, though of course with just slash pockets at the hips. I kinda like that cleaner look too - I can see why a lot of folks have gone with that mod on long halfbelts and the likes.

Here is my ideal garage.

I'm indifferent to bikes or cars and currently have to own and drive a car for personal reasons. Can't wait to get rid of it. Public transport is terrific in my part of Melbourne.

Heh, I hear you - I only have a driving licence because I grew up in rural Ireland where the public transport network doesn't cover half the places you need to get too, and even when it did, back then the last train home was 9.30pm... I'd only consider running a ar now if it was something fun, as per my list, and I was rich.....

Mind you, if I had an empty garage that size here in London, I could probably put a bed, cooker and fridge in it and let it out for a grand a month.... !

I am totally feeling you, Ralph Chen.

I'd say I already got my dream jacket(s). I've owned my standard Vanson Comet in a very soft, dark brown steerhide for a little over a year now and it is breaking in very nicely. Definitely a keeper. I have yet to put up a proper fit pic on here, but I will in due time. Paired with my Vanson Model B, two tone Aero J106 and brown zip sleeve Highwayman, I can hardly ask for any more jackets. Except for a Good Wear A-2 and a deadstock Buco J-24.

Cheers

bn1966 I like your latest scooter. This thread has gradually morphed into our favorite dream transportation. Not exactly my "dream ride" but how I travel 30 miles each way to work every day. o_O
