Looks like an old velour dress hat. Great looking hat, but it does not have the curled and bound brim of a homburg. Either way a super find. I love the look of it and the ribbon and bow treatment especially.

Didn't mean to disparage it. It looks like a very nice soft felt, possibly velour that has had some wear. I think with some TLC, it'm be a great hat.

Especially for that price.

Thanks! It's Made For so maybe the Hat Company that made it is on a paper label behind the sweatband. I will have to see if I can find anything on Gustav Reiner. This hat is prior to WWII so most of the Czechoslovakian Hat companies (JHS, AP, BB, OFH, ect) were still Austrian / German owned. The only Czech owned Hat Company that made Velours was Janyška & Cie.
