I'm also going to sell some things so I can buy a pair of these, I just can't decide which pair. All three by Aris Allen.

I love my Aris Allen dance shoes. I have the rug cutters (leather sole) and another pair with a suede sole. I do have those mary jane ones and they are extremely comfy, but I would not wear them out in public, only for dancing, unless you got them resoled. They are a suede sole and just won't stand up to the damage of public streets (and wetness and general yuck). The leather soled dance shoes I have worn on the street and they are like any other leather sole shoe. I use a metal brush to resurface them gently to wear dancing again.

I've taken my leather soled shoes to a cobbler in Watsonville who puts a thin layer of rubber over the leather. It really increases the life of the shoe. If you're ever up this way... PM me and I'll give you his info. He charges $14.95 for a pair (includes the heel, too). He's taken over a long time family business and says one thing he's learned, is that women like their shoes and he'll kindly work on any shoes, not matter how old, how battered, because he knows we love them!

I just posted this in the Academic Dress thread in General Attire and Accouterments, but wanted to make sure that all the UK ladies got to see them, as they were such a whopping bargain.

I bought these purple velvet shoes with gold detail in Primark Oxford St today, for a whopping £12.72! I am graduating tomorrow, and my school colours are purple and gold, and I can't wait to wear them. Primark had loads of really pretty vintage-inspired shoes, definitely worth a visit.

I have not...but what a great website. I am going to hazard a guess that they are a spin-off of Zappos, and they sell the shoes Zappos could not get rid of...like an overstock site or something. Maybe? Not sure. (Alot of what they are selling only have a size or two left of each style...at least the ones I like. :) )
The websites have the exact same format. Cute shoes.

Has anyone bought anything from http://www.6pm.com/? They have really low sale prices on name brand shoes, but they are so low that it makes me suspicious.

Yes, I've ordered from them and was completely happy with their service. I'm only guessing, but I think their name, 6pm, is a nod towards the time of day when many small stores have closed, hence the onesie/twosie quantities and the very low prices of shoes that are last season or no longer available on the product-line's website or Zappos, etc. The savings was great! The shoes I fell in love with were patent leather Ecco peeptoes. Going for $122 in the stores, 6pm had them for $30!

Muffy's Saddle Shoes

Alright ladies, the time has come and I am going to buy my saddle shoes. I know some of you have shoes from Muffy's and they have a red/white leather soled pair that suits my needs.

My question is how is the fit and is the quality worth $99?

I want these - perfect for my wardrobe and leather soles means i can wear them dancing!

YES! They are worth the money! I bought a brown and white pair and they broke in perfectly! Run don't walk to buy a pair! lol Buy according to the size you normally wear if you feet are narrow but a half size up if not. And if you have wide feet see about getting a wide size, if they have them.

Texasgirl - thank you for that thread link - looks like Muffy's does have a good following! I need them for August 29th so I shall order today I think!

Retrogirl1941 - you and i CLEARLY like the same things! I haven't worn saddles since elementary school but it's been over a year i've been coveting them and I need a pair of closed toe/heel all leather shoes for a tour of our local nuclear facility (whooohooo - perhaps I shall glow in the dark after! :D ) and this seems a good excuse---errr, reason!

Yes if we have anymore in common it would be scary! lol I wear mine to work, play in the woods on the weekends, or just touring musuems. They are comfy yet pretty looking. And muffys shipping is really fast too. I got mine within' four days of confirming the order.
