I've recently found some very cute vintage-y shoes at Delia's. They also have some cute clothes, some of which I posted in the "vintage inspired clothing" thread.
Here are the shoes I found, they come in different colors. I really like the silver mary janes. They are called "Claudette Mary Jane", hmm wonder if they were named after Miss Colbert?
There are more on their website.

They also had them in Navy Blue but not in my size.

I had to pick these up too although they aren't vintage:

I actually tried those on yesterday. They are soooo cute, but just too darn high for me even with the platform:(
They did have some other very cute platform's that weren't quite as tall and were a little more comfy.
They also have some very sweet (p)leather wedge sandals, the wedge is woven and is painted with flowers. Very forties inspired, IMO. They come in red and black. I got red.

Also got a pair of cute red peeptoes from Target with a cute wooden heel but they don't seem to have them online. They have some platform peep toe shoes in both red and black patent leather that are fun looking, just a little too high for me:( They do have quite a few pairs of espadrille wedges and espadrille peep toe canvas shoes that are quite cute and look very comfy. Here's one pair in particular that I thought were cute

I'm addicted to Naturalizer shoes. Having arthritis I have problems with swelling in my legs and feet, so often times I have to choose comfort over style. But with Naturalizer I get both:) For the past couple of years they have been making very vintagey shoes. I actually have 3 of the pairs that were posted earlier, and love them all. I also love that they come in wide width. I don't have wide feet, but the extra width leaves room for swelling. I guess you could say I'm a Naturalizer advocate:) If you happen to live near one of their outlet stores, check it out. They have amazing prices and often have incredible sales. Aside from having the shoes on their website, the outlet store gets other shoes that you might not see in their regular catalog or online. I've gotten some great vintage inspired, very well made shoes at their outlet for as little as $10:) I think that we have a thread dedicated to their shoes, but I searched for it and couldn't find it:(

These were instant favorites for me!
Those are lovely but they look an awful lot like Re-Mix shoes. I think it's been discussed before, but they have a few pairs of shoes that are exact copies of Re-Mix.

I've found a lot of shoes on their site that are so incredibly vintage looking. Although they are a bit pricey. Here's a"few" of the ones I like. I'm actually not only impressed by their style but impressed by the size of their collection. They have a lot to offer, but again, they are very pricey. I love their clothes. They have a look that is classic in some outfits, flirty and fun in others. I buy a lot of my modern clothes their and have been for the most part happy with the quality (in comparison to other modern clothes). I have yet to buy any of their shoes but I might just have to take the plunge this spring. Although some of them are just way too expensive ($428!!) . But I will keep my eyes open and hope for a sale:)

I got the navy ones back in January but they didn't have the light ones yet. I need to see if we got them here yet. Did you see the red and white polka dot sling backs? I got them too.

I picked up a pair (of Vintage ones) about a month ago for $3.00 at a thrift store and they are in almost like new condition, they are cream and tan. I have only worn them once however. I wish I had some 1940's dresses to wear them with I would love that.

I have two pair of modern saddle shoes - one in pink, one in green. I think I still have both, if you want to see pics.

I stopped wearing them a while ago because I felt kinda conspicous. They are fairly heavy shoes, not the light ones you might be considering.

muffys.com (I think Lizzie or JitterBug suggested this site) has great saddles, very cute. Payless had some a while back if you don't want to spend a lot on them.

Payless.com does indeed have them for rather inexpensive, but you can only order them online. For those of you who, like me, have to try shoes on this could be a problem!

Anyone wear saddle shoes? I have been thinking about getting a pair to wear with some of my 1940's dresses

Yeppers, Nicoletta, I wear them in the spring and summer. I get alot of compliments when I do. Be warned, men love them. The whole schoolgirl/cheerleader thing.;)
