Has anyone bought this dress http://www.etsy.com/listing/51022057/classic-swing-celeb-inspired-dress from Cynthia?

And if so, how is the fabric quality? I need to get a dress for a wedding I am attending in October, but haven't found anything and been looking for weeks. I really love this one, especially the original Audrey one, but am worried the taffeta will not be that nice and some of the pictures aren't that great.

Convo her and ask if she'll send you a swatch.

Thanks for the replies ladies! I did convo Cynthia with some questions, but found the answers all very vague so have decided against that one.
I did look at Able Grable, too, but nothing took my fancy at the moment and am now in love with a dress from Trashy Diva. I am, however, really confused about their sizing charts. According to the chart for the dress I want I'd need a US 4 in the bust and a US 8 in the waist, so do I buy to fit my bust or the waist? I emailed them and am waiting for an answer, but does anyone here know?
Also, how long does their shipping take to the UK?
At this point I have searched so long I feel like attending the wedding in pj's...

Order for your largest measurement. It's going to be easy to take it in at the waist.

I have two Trashy Diva dresses and think their sizing charts are misleading. It seems to reflect the absolute maximum pull of the fabric. With my 36.5" bust and 28" waist, I wear a U.S. 12 Trashy Diva dress.

Oh no! I just ordered a size 8 last night after an email from them. Oh well, at worst I'll have to return it and lose the shipping fees. But do they use vintage sizing?

Her sizes go down to a US 2, so I don't think she uses vintage sizing, but that's a good question. If I hadn't been able to try a 12 on from a fellow lounger who wasn't loving the fit of the one she bought based on the TD sizing chart, I would've gone for a 10. It would have been tight across my shoulders and ribcage and the drape wouldn't have been as generous. I find the TD restocking fees a bit of a rip, especially since the size charts and limited views of the garments - no back views, no zoom options - make purchasing a bit of a guessing game. But when they fit... sweeeet! I hope yours works out. Which one did you get?

I phoned them yesterday, but they are closed on the weekends so the nice girl at customer service told me my order has most likely not been sent out yet and I may be able to change it. She gave me the phone number for the main office.
I also can't believe there is a restocking fee, especially since it's not worth it for an international order with the shipping costs and return shipping. I ordered the 40's dress. Hopefully I can get someone on the phone tomorrow and get some advice and change my order. Thanks for all your advice!

ETA: I just phoned them and changed my order to a 12 and the nice girl on the phone told me that particular dress and print does run small and that they do not do vintage sizing. However, I am normally a US 8, sometimes a 6, and it is a bit weird that I am a 12 there, so hopefully it will fit.

Little update, the dress arrived and it is much, much to big. I just phoned them again and they think the 8 might be sold out, but are trying to source one for me. I already started getting all the accessories, too. Sigh...
In my case I guess I should have stayed true to the online sizing guide.

what a shame Drappa! it's so disappointing when that happens. have you got time to return it for an alternative size?

i'm glad this post was bumped, i didn't realise people had posted pics of things made by Top Runway. i am impressed, it is my birthday in October i think i will drop some hints!

Well, I phoned them yesterday morning (in New Orleans, afternoon here), and they were going to phone other stores to find a smaller size, but no news yet. I also emailed for a returns code, but haven't heard anything yet and am a little anxious.

Has anyone ordered from her? She sounds fantastic, and I love the things she has listed! I want to get a dress for my birthday. :)

I read a review of her store just yesterday and contacted the seller for a special project. Even though I sew there are certain things I just don't have time for. She's a pleasure to work with so far and when the project is done I'll be sure to share!

I want to order that apron dress but I have the same pattern and should kist make it. I may get a blouse as I can make them but don't really like to and her prices are really resonable.

I like the style of blouse they are paired with but I'd also wear in with striped t-shirts, any sort of non-dressy cardigan could work too. A Pendleton type jacket over the top would look good.

I've been considering those for a while myself - they really are lovely.
