Absolutely Stupendous Justin!!! In and out!
The liner belongs in the Lovely Liner thread, without question!

Oh wow! Bowen is right about that liner, beautiful! Love the color, is it more gray or a silverbelly/cream? Looks almost white on my monitor. Probably one of the best you have trotted out in a while!
Cream is probably the best way to describe the color! Aside from the moth damage, the felt is easy on the eyes

Hey Justin et al:
Some hats remind me of those soft vanilla ice cream cones from the dairy queen as a youngster. Not many do, and they are inevitably very very nice hats. Soft as a horse’s nose. One other is a white Cross Country running around here, from Douglas of years back, i believe. The other is The Bulldogger of Moore Hat Co. from RBlane of mine.
This is one of the same in my eyes.
Be well. Bowen

I'll revive an older thread with a new-to-me Crofut & Knapp panama. A traditional fedora shape, this hat has a 4 1/2 inch finished teardrop crown, a 2 inch blue/gray/silver pugg, a leather sweat and a 2 1/2 inch brim. The hat is very light with subtle straw that has flex; not dry at all. I did not do a weave count but it is reasonably tight. The hat is very similar in size, weight and shape to the modern Stetson Centerdent. I'm sure it will make a wonderful summer hat.

A question to the Lounge; this thread contains many great felt C&K's, and I have found a smattering of C&K straws listed but precious few C&K panama's. Are there any others out there lurking? Do you think C&K made this hat or was it probably contracted out to another manufacturer? Would anyone venture a guess on a date for this one? As soft and in such good condition, I can't imagine it would be extremely old, I just don't know. Does anyone know anything about the block/reorder code? Thanks.

Enjoy!

Here on the thread Brad shows us a similar reorder tag from the 30s.

https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/crofut-knapp-tales.41837/page-17#post-1813272

On his Hatted Professor sight we have this Dobbs tag dated ‘22-27:

I saw this hat on ebay and wondered if anyone here might take a stab at dating it. The $5 price tag makes me think it isn’t anything too recent.
