I made it through its entirety but not without some anger issues. Motivated me to do a little research on the writer. I even thought of sending her a message in regards to her article but decided I wasn't that bored. She's a young freelance fashion blogger and "content creator". Isn't that what I just did? Anyway, I won't go scorched earth on her for her ignorance. I mean, she's a graduate of Cal State Long Beach and some things we just have to overlook. Now I can't get Valley Girl dialog out of my head.

Thanks, B. This fella made a fine boot.

I find these sort of articles maddening as well as sometimes entertaining. Reminds me of articles on hat wearing that occasionally pop up. I did a little scream therapy before posting this.
How to style men’s cowboy boots: A guide to western fashion

Mn. That is pretty special. "Enjoy boots? You might like to try wearing them with trousers!"

Some of that article's content is so inane I suspect it came directly from ChatGPT.

I have several pair but the pair I wear regularly are Tony Lama's (now 6 years old). I just bought a new pair and again went with Tony Lama's. There are a lot of different heal/toe combinations so look around and try on lots of different styles.
when it comes to durablity tony lamma's are always the best

I've been watching this thread for a bit. Got my first pair of cowboy boots that aren't ropers. First pair of square toes too. They are Tecovas Docs, at least the vamp is made of bison, I thought I read somewhere the shaft was goat but can't find it now. I am still trying to get sizing for cowboy boots down as I have narrow feet, length on these could be a hair longer but they fit great everywhere else.

Interesting article about the "Golden Needles" who hand-make Cowboy boots in EL Paso.

All of the valley boot makers (El Paso) used to pretty much make the same boot. Only the gingerbread changed. It all goes back to the original Rios & Rios of Mercedes boot makers. Mexican lasts tend to be wider than American lasts & the arches are flatter. If you buy a valley boot off the retail shelf regardless of brand, make sure you get a good fit.
