More Ebay foolishness: a small, moth-eaten, not-very-old Savile Row topcoat went for $1700. This seller normally lists his items very well and fetches decent prices, but this is extreme. Lucky him to have a couple of idiots with deep pockets fighting over his auction.

Marlboro is a cool label, they made a lot of seriously collectible flashy Rock 'n' Roll two-toned gabardine type stuff (read: Rockabilly). But that "ducks" shirt is definitely a love it or hate it kinda item. . . maybe that's explains the low price.

Yeah, i know what you mean. The fact that it's in Britain didn't help the seller. There seems to be a lot of 50s stuff I can pick up really cheap on eBay. I usually go for size medium, so there should be quite a bit of average sized competition. I'm pretty sure the "rockabilly" craze ain't over, so i can't explain it.

According to the labels the ducks are hand screened. Amazing piece, and I love it.

That was a nice suit, what I especially liked about it was the really unique, almost patterned-like, fabric. I think the seller's less than stellar feedback rating kept the price relatively low though; eBay is a surprisingly small world that way. I mean sixteen non-positive feedbacks in twelve months!?!?! Yikes!

Obviously his grandfather never got a crappy suit through his dealings with Money Back Smith in the 30s and 40s. The guy was a charleton. My grandfather didn't get his money back when the suit shrunk two sizes after it was professionally dry cleaned. My grandfather talked about MB's business practices 40 years later! That 37S probably started out as a 42 Long.

Wow, Wow, and double wow indeed! My Dad has been collecting presidential campaign buttons for 40 years and he doesn't have anything like that in his collection!

Great deal! If the sellers gives a wrong description it is always a big change to get it cheap. I bought an US ike jacket which was described as "WW2 UK flight jacket" or something.

So in your case many collectors of twenties stuff may have overlooked it. I really like it!:eusa_clap
