Cool books

Two cool books on men's etiquette/manners/clothing style, one from the 50's and the other from the 30's. Both with great illustrations.

I just picked this up on Ebay. I'm hoping the size is good for me, but I'm curious about the style of the trousers. Also, I'm wondering how old it might be. I'm guessing not earlier than 70's, possibly newer. Any thoughts, fellow Loungers?
Anyway, it looks mighty nice to me.

Yours has many elements of the '60s-revival suits and sportcoats being sold everywhere these days ... but I think that this suit really is from the '60s. Then again, it could a modern suit by a tailor whose signature style (like Jack Taylor's, in Beverly Hills) has hardly evolved since the '60s.

So the slash pocket is just a typical 60's feature? How about the beltless, suspender buttonless thing? Is that also a 60's thing? I'm thinking I may put suspender buttons in it.
