I thought it would be nice to have a thread dedicated to colorful cafe racers. All racing shirts are welcome, as long as they're in a color other than black or brown.

I'll kick off with this blue Luda Clothing racing shirt.

I did a thorough internet search but there is hardly any information to be found on the maker. All I could find were two or three eBay listings from a couple of years ago. Those jackets were supposedly from the 60s and they were made in England.

And that's exactly how this particular jacket was sold to me by the seller from France:

"Blouson café racer vintage 60s made in England.

Tres belle patine d'époque, aucun accroc, tous les zips fonctionnent."

The leather is in great condition and has just the right amount of patina. The jacket feels really solid. It's a nice touch how the stripes' edges are folded instead of showing the rough edges. Overall, stitching looks ok with exception of the sleeve zippers. Stitching on those looks a bit sloppy.

Fit / pattern

You can tell it's a racing jacket the second you put it on. The sleeves are really curved and the chest is tight. The jacket is in it's natural position when reaching forward. When standing straight with the arms hanging down, the chest feels a bit tight and the shoulder seams feel slightly uncomfortable.

I love it. Those angled chest pockets make a unique design and the blue / black color combination is great to match with black or indigo jeans.

This is as close I can get to a colorful CR.

But I am always on the hunt for a colorful Bates or Brimaco CR in my size. One day.

I have a Bates racing jacket that could possibly work. It's three four colors though...Is that jacket Apparel Annex?

Anyway, my small contribution. Gold label blue Brooks CR. Pretty good condition, too. Too large in the chest for me so I sold it. Just found out a week ago that the buyer then went and resold it at $450, twice the price they bought it at!

These are fantastic looking jackets guys!
I’ll post mine when it’s done drying. The thing smelled musty, so it got a wash straight away.

Really cool jackets and thread idea here. I don't have one to contribute sadly. :(

Makes me want to find one.

I used to have a few very colorful Alpinestars/Joe Rockets that saw a good bit of time on the Nighthawk, but that's for a different thread & forum.

Here is a very nice Blue one (Medium) by "Champion" with a tag name of Rivett's

Just sheep hide aniline dyed, my 1first jacket bought 9yrs ago or so, through online locally, added in some "racing elements" with the collarless and tab mod, too bad they didnt follow my waist measurement and even add my chest measurement and thus naturally the shoulder too. But the sleeve fits while the body fits me boxy... this is generally what local online mtm fall into here... they just make bigger than spec to cover the risk of jacket not fitting by clients mistake in measuring or sudden weight gain from the time of order to completion, and most people wont complain since most wear their jacket big.
Color is another thing they call orange as tan. It was very carrot orange but years and washes do something to it so now its OK tan even yellow on some parts.

I like the racing ness of narrow chest, curved elbow and i feel they look best half zipped this kind of setup, narrow chest will pull and spread the front apart looking sportier for a center zip with no lapel fold, but looking narrow chested when fully zipped from its riding purpose.

Great idea, Marc! Where are you always digging out these unique leather jackets?! I love this one, especially the front.

This is the natural position for the jacket and you can feel it when you put it on.
