Colorful cafe racer thread

@JMax I gave it to my buddy Jon because, well, it was far too smurfy for me! If you like, I can inquire about whether he actually wears it. I think he mostly wears a black armored Triumph jacket.

But I should warn you. It’s a crazy jacket.

I appreciate that, though its probably best that you don't. In the past few weeks I've had a bunch of jackets come in. Need to chill. Thanks again. Plus, I suspect that it may be too smurfy for me too.

I just want to emphasize how excellent Thedi's customer service is. Theodors saw my picture of the grey Buffalo Cafe Racer today and asked me to make a sleeve shortening for free - then I think it will be perfect for me. Honestly I thought that is not possible or very difficult with this kind of jacket. He also thought that I will sell it - now way, it's a keeper for me. Many thanks, Theodoros!

That is beyond excellent customer service. So cool.

And with the shortened sleeves, it will be absolutely perfect.

Today this Shields Sportswear -Toronto- racing gear was delivered. Probably from the late 60s or early 70s. Both jacket and pants are in excellent condition. The pants actually look like they're new old stock.

The built quality is exceptionally high. Stitching looks very neat without any serious wobbling. Almost all of the seams are French seams which they didn't do because it looks pretty. These racing jackets are a very tight fit and thick folded seams will press down onto the skin. These French seams are completely smooth from the inside and therefore add to the comfort of the jacket.

Unfortunately I cannot add fit pics. The jacket is a size 36 :)

Good news is that I found the exact same jacket in a size 42 which will hopefully be delivered next week.

The pants do fit if I hold my breath so next week I'll add some fit pics of pants and jacket.

This is why I log into TFL. Finds like this. Look at those stars. Honestly doesn't get any more badass! I'd wear this combo to the store!

Levi's released a really cool repro sometime back. Made in Italy. Italy Levi's is the nicest leathers money can buy, seriously.

I was looking at one about a year ago, maybe two. Just a tad small for me. Not inexpensive either. Good to know about the leather. I may be more aggressive the next time around.

There was a Score on Etsy that seems to have disappeared.

That's related to what I said earlier, how I don't entirely believe we're not being scammed all the time. Italy made Levi's is like, I can't really see how's anything else modern that I've handled actually better and it's honestly annihilating many vtg jackets I've handled. Yet, it's completely dismissed. In any case, grab one when you see it!

I hope to have the same feeling when the Cooper arrives. I was a bit hesitant given that its...well, a Cooper. So I started to doubt what my eyes were telling me.

I certainly will.

www.deizen.com has one but too small for you @JMax, only 20-in p2p. These are super-rare.
