If you write a nice email to Dave Himel he may make you one out of Shinki. He has the patterns.

Yeah, it is a beautiful jacket but I will keep hunting for the OG. Though a shinki version would be excellent.

The Levi’s “repro” that I saw at an outlet store was far less than impressive. I would not have paid $35 for it. It was this model and priced at an utterly laughable $599 in 2012 or thereabouts. I believe Hugh Jackman wore it in a movie. If it were priced at $150 and 99% off...I’d still opt for a handful of gummy bears. instead. Laughably thin and super cheap hardware, a pure money grab based on all but forgotten screen time.

It looks awesome! I love those white undertones peaking through. Super cool.

Thanks, Marc! It’s alway been quite the looker. The colour is simply gorgeous. Leather is on the lighter side, but still ok. Have been thinking about selling it for some time, as I don’t really wear it anymore.

Big round of applause if anyone can guess the maker...

How is the leather? I haven't handled a Brooks so therefore I wonder. Is it stiff or supple? Does it feel substantial or is it a lightweight jacket?

Oh and could you share a closeup pic of the jacket were the color is shown accurately?

I'm thinking of having a green racing shirt made one day so I'm already looking into leather options :)

I think this looks more like frog green than British racing green.

I'll kick off with this blue Luda Clothing racing shirt.

The leather is in great condition and has just the right amount of patina. The jacket feels really solid. It's a nice touch how the stripes' edges are folded instead of showing the rough edges. Overall, stitching looks ok with exception of the sleeve zippers. Stitching on those looks a bit sloppy.

Turned out well, good score. I love that petrol blue shade.

I've recently been developing crazy notions of one of Aero's ice hockey jackets inspired by this jacket. Something really different for uber-casual wear...

View attachment 323042 Mine is a mall jacket from a Surf clothing brand but it’s buffalo leather at least. I quite like it although I never wear it.

Nice. I could see Brad pit wearing something like this in that Tarrantino flick he was in. Has that sort of late sixties/ seventies feel to it. Interesting it's leather - I thought looking at the photo it was textile of some sort.

Today this Shields Sportswear -Toronto- racing gear was delivered. Probably from the late 60s or early 70s. Both jacket and pants are in excellent condition. The pants actually look like they're new old stock.

The built quality is exceptionally high. Stitching looks very neat without any serious wobbling. Almost all of the seams are French seams which they didn't do because it looks pretty. These racing jackets are a very tight fit and thick folded seams will press down onto the skin. These French seams are completely smooth from the inside and therefore add to the comfort of the jacket.

Unfortunately I cannot add fit pics. The jacket is a size 36 :)

Good news is that I found the exact same jacket in a size 42 which will hopefully be delivered next week.

The pants do fit if I hold my breath so next week I'll add some fit pics of pants and jacket.

Interesting. Makes me think of speedway for some reason.

I would call it lightweight to mid-weight pretty typical 60s stuff. Nothing special about the hide other than the color. It is flexible, and it took awhile before it soaked up any water when I washed it. I think it might compare with your Shields. Slightly thinner than my 60s Schott.

Thanks. I absolutely love this color. The Brooks looks like a pretty good fit on you. Congrats.
