Very nifty! It's interesting that the colors were still pretty drab overall.

I think along with the subject matter, the colors are what interests me the most. It's nice being able to see their world in color rather than just in black and white (not to say that black and white photography and film is bad). I feel the color is what makes the history come alive to me.

Several months ago I saw some photographs (in true color!) of San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake. It was so surreal seeing the colored images. It was almost like it wasn't real. I also didn't realize that some photographers were experimenting with color photography at this time.
