Churchill Ltd. Fedora

I have this Churchill ltd. fedora, size 7. It has Jack Henry country club plaza Kansas City on the inside band, and a extra long oval tag on the inside. It is has a extra small brim. I collect coins and a guy gave me this for a coin. I have no idea if it has any value, but just wanted to get the guy a break. I guess what i'm asking is, does have any value, maybe list it in the classifieds here, or should it go in the trash? Any response would be appreciated. Thanks Bill

It has value, but you probably won’t get much for it. The style of the hat isn’t one that normally brings in good prices (the proportions of your hat are on the small side), and size 7 hats also don’t typically go for as much as hats in larger sizes. You never know what someone might pay for something. I’d put it on eBay with a $10 start and let the market tell you what it’s worth.

I said start it at $10…every chance it could sell for more. I doubt it would go for more than $30-50, but you never know. Weird things happen on Ebay etc.

give it to Goodwill or Big Brothers or any Service Org that does old clothing pick up. It will find a good home and save some space in the land fill.

Hat value can be augmented by story telling. Do some research on Jack Henry, which is a historic Kansas City retailer located in Country Club Plaza - the first shopping center designed for automobiles.
