Chicago - Advice about getting around?

Hey folks,

It seems that I am going to be in Chicago twice, briefly, in November. I'll be at Union Station with 4 hours the first time, and 5 the next.

I'm wondering two things;

1. Does anyone know if there is a way to leave luggage securely in Union Station?

2. Is there mass transit that might get me to and from Optimo Hats fast enough to enjoy a visit without costing a lot?

Thanks much!

You can store your luggage at Union Station and walk a few blocks to the LaSalle Street Station, where you can take the train to Optimo. Call ahead to the store and someone will pick you up at the station.

That said, it's around a half hour train ride out to Beverly with the trains running every hour so depending on schedule/timing a four hour layover might be problematic. Good luck.
