Our next door neighbor would always invite us to his Chanukah party every year, but unfortunately he moved this last summer. The food was great and I love to show my daughter that there is more to the holidays than Christmas.

Yay for night #2! Menorah polished...wax from last night cleaned off the silver....now where'd I put those candles....oh yeah...the freezer....

I have my little chanukah corner set up and just like in the stores it's surrounded by christmas....
made latkas for the hubby last night...had to call mom, couldn't remember the recipe....that's what I get for not paying attention growing up. I was more interested in eating them.....

I love the New Mexican Jewish tradition of making "New Mexican" latkes -- that is, latkes with green chile and cheese. Mmmmmm...

There is a conversion process but it isn't easy or anything. A few of my relatives came to it as adults.

But we won't card you if all you wanna do is eat some latkes. lol

Surely you can adopt the Jewish faith, no? I new a girl in uni whose father was a baptist pastor. He converted, as he felt that the Jewish faith really spoke to him.
