Finally found what I desperately hope is the right chp for me: a 1960s Cal-Leather. Should be with me in a couple of weeks, covid

Stellar example of a Cal. I purchased my “best” Cal from the same seller. You won’t be disappointed.

Cal is one of the few from that era that was always using heavier leathers and stitched them up like tanks. Ive had 3 Cals from the 50s-60s now and all were great!

Looks really nice! I was doing my own search awhile ago and I believe this jacket was referred to me, but the sizing wasn't quite right. Ended up going with a Vanson. But now I finally have my own Cal thanks to @dannyk, and it's great to experience one first hand. As far as jacket makers go, particularly for CHPs, they're every bit as good as everyone says.

Even that old beat up brown Cal, has life in it. You can envision how nice it was brand new. Not that it’s not nice now and what not haha. But Cal really did make epic jackets that stand the test of time. Hope it fits you well brother and you get another 40 years out of it. If not Cals sell and can be flipped and traded cause those who know them, know they are fantastic.

I think it was the stitch holes where the badge holder was removed that got me. Jacket has a story.

The leather looks like Cal’s primo stuff from late 50s to mid-60s or so. Among the nicest old leather you will see. Thick, lots of grain, some smell great. Awesome leather. If the pictures aren’t fooling me, you will be happy happy happy. Now, hopefully it fits well enough to rock it!

All the way from Cali, the Cal arrived today. It’s probably the nicest jacket I’ve ever worn - the leather is incredible. It has the outlines of not one but two badge-holders! And it sort of fits me, though I need to shed many Lockdown pounds and the jacket isn’t flattered by what’s wearing it, as you can see. But yeah, sort of fits...

Dude, that looks fantastic. As long as it doesn't feel restrictive it's definitely your size. Motivation to not gain any more lockdown pounds too? :D

The thing is, it’s just incredibly... cool. It would have fit me better last spring, that’s for sure o_O But it’s always nice to buy something based on photos and a description, and have it actually work for a change!
