Buco J-100 from Lost Worlds Vs. Real McCoy

Looking for a fitted horsehide racing jacket and can't decide between Buco J-100 from Lost Worlds and the similar version from Real McCoy. Previously owned a Lost Worlds Easy Ryder, which I loved, but unfortunately had stolen. Would replace, but I found the Easy Ryder to be too loose (though the sizing was correct). Anyone familiar with either or both models and can offer some advice?

Thanks

The most significant difference is the leather. LW uses thicker, more rigid HH, as compared to the Shinki HH used by RMC. I personally much prefer the Shinki HH. That said, many here really like the thicker, more rigid leathers.

Thanks, Superfluous. I was impressed with the weight of the LW Easy Ryder leather, which I believe was 4 oz. Unfortunately never had the opportunity to break it in to the point I felt really comfortable, but perhaps that was also attributable to it being so rigid.

one other question - from a lot of the pictures I've seen, the RMC Buco J100 seems to have stitching that is more gray than black, and thus contrasts with the leather - is that correct or is it perhaps the light reflecting in pictures? Thanks!

Thanks, Benj. Guess that might give a somewhat two-tone look? That doesn't appeal to me, though everything else about the jacket looks beautiful.

No prob. Personally, I wouldn't really worry about it. I'd say that very few people would say that the jacket gives you a "two-tone" look, of course what matters the most is how you feel about it. But really I think you only notice the stitching in direct lighting if you focus specifically on it.

I'm someone who's really picky and absolutely wanted a black jacket, and I never think twice about it... The pics I showed are the most gray it will ever look.
