Boredom: A plague upon us

i'm very rarely bored even at work.
just contemplating some philosophical ideal or trying to think up a poem to write i can pass days this way

My fourth grade teacher used to say "Only the boring are bored." But she was an old bat with whiskers.

lol My grandmother used to say that to me all the time growing up..but I remember thinking, how can I help being bored when the only thing on t.v are game shows and not a kid in town?
For the most part I don't even have a chance to get bored. There seems to be a million things for me to do each day. And when I do have a chance to get a breather, I opt for a good novel or movie, which is pleasurable, not boring.

Whenever I'm bored, I pick up a book or magazine and keep my mind active. Otherwise, I will go outside and do yard work.
