Since Western style hats probably outnumber Fedoras down here and that one looks to have a 3" or better width of brim, my guess is that it probably had some curl at the sides towards the front. But then a lot depends on it's age and when it was worn as to how much if at all. I recall some older men wearing Stetsons back 50 years ago with the brim very flat when I was younger. If it was mine I would put some curl to it but sadly it is not :)

I wonder what the actual brim size is on that black Stetson.

The brim is exactly 3" and has a very gentle upward curl all around. The felt and ribbon are pristine... as if bought yesterday. I am an eastern city boy... but I'm liking the relatively flat brim - maybe with a slight fedora snap down in the front. The hat is old. I think it wants me to live in it for a bit before making my imprint. I am going over to see Gary White's shop on Friday - maybe he will have an opinion. Thanks for the comments - much appreciated!
