Well, I am not much for modern music, so I'll skip CDs, but here are my pics for movie and TV series:

For movie, I'm going to go with "No Country for Old Men," although that could be because I haven't seen "There Will Be Blood" yet. "Atonement" gets honorable mention. Surprisingly, despite "Transformers," 2007 was a great year for film and there are a lot of other great flicks ("Once," "Sweeney Todd," "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead," "I'm Not There," the list goes on).

For TV show, I think the obvious choice for all retro-lovers was "Mad Men." Well-written, well-acted, and just plain fun to watch.

Movie I'd have to think about.... I've seen very little in the cinema this year. CD I'll call Imelda May's Love Tattoo. TV Series: Life on Mars Series 2.

Music, I'm not too sure of. Maybe The Tabaltix, a psychobilly band that sounds more like 80's psychobilly (a really strong rockabilly influence).

As for movies, I really loved Juno. I don't watch a lot of movies, but that one was wonderful!

For TV series I'd have to say Dexter. I haven't seen any of this season, only last year's, but if it's as good as season one then it definitely is my favorite. So much gore! It's great!

Insofar as music is concerned, I'd have to say that the best release of 2007 in my estimation would've been... [Victory Songs] by Ensiferum. Honourable mention to Nightwish for [Dark Passion Play].

Didn't see any new movies at all last year! Well, not unless you count the 3D re-release of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, but that would be cheating. I imagine that, had I seen any flicks, Sweeney Todd would've been my pick.

Same goes for television shows. I just don't watch that much of it, and my two most favourite shows ever are both no longer in production. Runners up all show on cable, which I don't have. I guess that only leaves 24 and House as my only options, both of which I only started watching in 2007.

So I'll only cast a real vote for music, because [Victory Songs] is just that mind-shatteringly incredible. At least, it is if you like that kind of music ;)

I'll go for No Country for Old Men as well -- a stunning film in every way.

I don't follow modern music, so I'll pass on CD's -- nothing in the way of historical reissues caught my attention this year.

Best TV show? The 2007 World Series. (hehehehehehehe...)

Film: Atonement. Visually stunning with great performances and direction.

TV: I watch very little but my pick would be The Colbert Report for series and The War for a TV special. Hope the the writers prevail soon, I'm going through serious Stephen withdrawal.

CD/Song: The new albums* from Arcade Fire and Spoon were quite good and it was nice to have some new material from Smashing Pumpkins. I loved "You Know I'm No Good" and "Rehab" from Amy Winehouse's album but the rest was eh for me.

* My vocabulary is so dated!

If we're talking new TV I'll have to say:

"Burn Notice"
"Pushing Daisies"
"Life"
"Journeyman"

For returning TV:

"Dexter" - Man it just keeps getting better!
"Bones"
"The Office"

Too bad the strike killed most of our TV shows.

I listed my movies in the Moving Picture. :)

Soundtracks were the only music I picked up this year.

Colbert and Stewart are both returning to the airwaves on the 7th, sans the striking writers. I'm not expecting much, but I'll still be tuning in.
