Real nice jacket. I also like the red lining.

But I'm a bit confused. If this Good Wear jacket is modeled after a Beck (made by Schott), then why does it have a Californian Sportswear label inside? The companies are not related, correct?

John has a large stash of vintage labels so he may have just picked one he liked for this jacket.

I'm not sure I agree with that practice.
I understand your point of view, but keep in mind this was merely conjecture on my part and we do not know if that is in fact how the jacket came to have this label.
I would not be disturbed if this was the case though. After all this jacket is not an authentic Beck (Schott) so there is no reason that it must have their label or a copy of their label.

The Beck name is probably owned by Schott, may be an issue using a Beck label.

I have to disagree. A label is an identifier, not just for today but also for the future. Putting a Californian Sportswear label in a jacket that has no relation to the jacket's design or maker will confuse some future owner. Borders on misrepresentation.

If a Beck label couldn't be sewn inside, I'd argue for no label at all.

This doesn't take away from the jacket itself. If I were Terry, I'd be very pleased.
