I love these trousers and the way they drape. No pleats and 2" cuffs complete them. The rise is somewhat low compared to what I usually prefer, but nonetheless they are one of my favourites. If you look closely you can see the rust red windowpane over the PoWish check.

I am very grateful to Mr. Wooster. His merchandise is excellent, and he is raising prices with every auction. As a seller of vintage suits, this is a good thing for me. I believe that these suits are worth every penny that Mr. Wooster gets, and more. They are one-of-a-kind and therefore irreplaceable. It is a travesty that such suits were going for less than $100 only three or four years ago. Happily, the market is adjusting itself.


In a reasonable world, well-made '30s vintage suits in dead stock condition would regularly command higher prices than new suits of the same quality.

Hey, if I were a seller, I'd agree with you. But I'm just a buyer at this point, and a poor one at that, so Mr. Wooster's auctions just make me sad.

Just missed out on this one.

It would have been my very first vintage suit. I also saw the English Bespoke one from Mr Wooster (I believe it was a late 30's suit from a tailor in Norfolk, England), but just knew it was going to be beyond my pocket!! Oh well.

He doesn't have a store, but you can use the "view seller's other items" link on the auction I linked to above. Mr. Wooster generally only sells unique items in perfect or near-perfect condition, so he doesn't have things for sale all the time. He usually lists a few at a time, then nothing for a while.
