Be thankful we are ( here in the U.S.) not living in the U.K. . 1 AD = .627130 GB Ps. ! Found a Cattleman being sold for 109.95 pounds from A.Hume Country clothing in the U.K which equals $174.95 U.S. ! Guess we can be tahnkful we are just on a parity :)

Why do you ask?
Take another look at the Cattleman. It has 3 horizontal LARGE eyelets ABOVE the shade string eyelets :) At least that is what I'm expecting given the photo I looked at on DM's site :) 'Course with a full liner it kind of neutralizes the venting aspects they might have so I might have to take the liner out to wear it year round down here in Texas :) (I think I missunderstood your post, sorry :) ) and I can't speak for the Heritage series as I don't own any.

I said that the stampede string eyelet takes away from the aesthetics of the Cattleman's appearance, it just makes the side too "busy" looking. I like the useless vent eyelets on the hat. I've handled one in person [not a Morgan] and liked it a lot.

I said in my post that I missunderstood your earlier post :) As far as "busy" looking, when I wear that sucker in 100+ deg Texas heat I want as MUCH possible venting as I can get !! :) I'll probably end up pulling the liner out as has been on my 30+ yo Bushman anyway so that those eyelets can work :) I am waiting it's arrival from DM as I write :)

Well, the books I want from the U.K. are up $20.00 since May due to the exchange rates. On the other hand, there are some decent buys to be had from China for certain goods if one is careful.

I guess it all washes out.

Dollar v. Dollar v. Dollar

The first business day of the new year and the Canadian dollar and the Australian dollar are above parity with the U.S. dollar. :eeek:

I throw that out for consideration.

>sigh<...I remember going to Canada on .65 Loonies, ya' felt like a king, you did... those days are gone. This is Canada's Century, IMHO. They own the 2nd largest proven oil fields on earth & something like 35% of the fresh water on the planet. Let's "liberate" Canada! Who's with me???!!!!

I was looking at Campdrafts this morning and they are now less in Australian dollars than in U.S.
I hope I am saying this right
If you see a hat that is $90 Australian, it will be about $91 American. Until recently, it was the other way around.
No government comments, though ...

Is anyone else watcing the Australian dollar? (it's falling!)

So... I'd like to order another Fed IV (deluxe this time, in another color...)

I'm a little cheap so I've been watching the AUD/USD conversion rate to get the best deal.

It's been falling in our favor since it's peak in mid November. (it's at about .87 right now)

The recent historic low of ~.61 hit in 2008. The next lowest was in 2010 where it hit ~.81. (so we are getting close to the 5 year low right now...)

Any thought or opinions as to what is driving this fall, or thoughts as to when it might bottom?
