I take it you think the light lines on the crown will come
off with brushing and the mothing where the leather sweat
is attached in the fifth and sixth picture is the only moth bite on
the hat?

I'm taking johnnyphi at his word regarding the mothing and trust that area is the only one. (I suppose some clarification would be a good idea.) I think the lighter areas can be dealt with.

Looking forward to your first bid...

Feltfan... I am looking forward to your first bid on one of my auctions, and I can assure you that this hat is a great place to start... Especially for someone with a 7 1/2 LO.

To respond to your assumptions, the light lines on the crown will absolutely come out with brushing. Also, I would not call the area in the 6th photo "mothing". I don't know what it is, but the photo clearly shows that the affected area covers the length of 3 stitches (Approx. 3-4 millimeters).

I stand by my assessment that this hat does not have any obvious moth damage or nibbles, and I haven't had any complaints from anyone who has purchased my other hats.

Color?

Johnny,

Can you describe the color for me. I ask because of monitor variations, and because I just don't see color that well. Is this hat gray? Blue Gray?

Thanks,
Anj

It is Medium Gray...

I would describe it as medium grey. It's definitely not markedly blue-grey, but it may have some blue tones.

My questions were valid and fair to ask. You clearly thought
that thing I took to be a moth bite was something- you posted
two photographs of it. We discuss stains on felt all the time in
the Hat section. If I can't touch a hat, I ask a lot of questions.

This is whata knowledgeable consumer does, IMO.
In my experience on eBay I have benefited from such questions
made by others and expect others benefited by my questions.
I'm sorry you interpreted otherwise.

Sold to Selentino for $200.

Huh, I really don't understand how this works. I was going
to bid just now. I checked the rules:

"the end time will be posted based on Eastern Standard Time (-3 hours for Pacific Standard Time)"

The time is now: All times are GMT -8. The time now is 05:48 PM.

Closing time: END DATE: Sunday, October 26 at 9:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time (GMT -4) according to Lounge Server.

This tells me the closing time should be 6pm on the Lounge Server
and it's only 5:48pm.

In spite of some coarse treatment and the lack thereof when Mingoslim
subsequently stated a positive opinion, "Looks awfully nice . . ." with no
repercussions, I had been planning to bid $220. If a mistake has been
made, enter my bid.
