Fits perfect!
I but it up on ebay and within two hours I got a bid that’s 4 times what I paid for it. They’re nice, but people go crazy for that Whippet name.
Whippet good.
Yes, I agree to the dating. OUTSTANDING Whippet.I’m thinking this Whippet is late 1940s or early 1950s. The crown is 5 1/2” tall and the brim is 2 3/4” wide. The color is a gorgeous vivid blue between Royal and navy...maybe cadet?

How does the whippet compare in numbers and popularity to the Open Road. Two Iconic hats
The Open Road has been in production a lot longer. I don’t think we have production numbers from Stetson so as my guess based on anecdotal evidence is that the OR was made in greater numbers. I’d guess that would remain true even if we limited it to the years when they were both being made. Just a semi-educated guess...heavy emphasis on the “semi” part.
I'd say there have been quantum levels more ORs sold than Whippets.

For good reason.
I don’t know what a “quantum level” is, but it sounds like a lot.

The OR is definitely a more versatile hat, and generally popular for a greater range of hat wearers, for sure. Plus, it never really has gone "out of style."
"A discrete quantity of energy proportional in magnitude to the frequency of the radiation it represents," for one definition, at least.
I was trying to say that, if n Whippets have been produced/sold since their inception, the number of ORs produced/sold since their inception is Xn, where X is a nontrivial multiplier of n.
Y'all hate me now, don't you?
“Nontrivial multiplier”...i love that!!The OR is definitely a more versatile hat, and generally popular for a greater range of hat wearers, for sure. Plus, it never really has gone "out of style."

Weren’t you the guy who said there wouldn’t be math? The only math I’ve mastered is my retirement formula.
“Nontrivial multiplier”...i love that!!
Engineer speak for not to the zero power ehh?
I still love you.
