Depends, how early and how good condition? It is on the high side but I would pay that for a really good condition Red Label, I've also seen a Star Glove go for around that price as well, and those are rarer.

I just did the same with a Vanson Swedish. Paid a LOT more than I wanted because I WANTED!

Im not the expert you need but The cuff strap is very similar to what LW uses..

Its not ideal but i don't think you have to worry about the jacket falling apart. if I thought it was fairly priced and I wanted it, that sleeve wouldnt scare me away

Being old and worn. High abrasion area. Even the best leather will show wear eventually.

Hi all. Would rubber cement glue (or other type) likely be sufficient to fix this tear? The tear does not go through and is not a hole. It's in the elbow vicinity of a steerhide jacket. Other recommendations?

Is it flapping open? If it's just a small surface tear, whatever you do is likely to be more noticeable than the original damage without actually 'fixing' much.

What others said plus I personally would cover this with wax & black shoe creme to shield it a bit.

Not fix but you should be able to cover it with leather cement.

Fabric/leather glue and toothpick is your friend on this one.

Basic white glue, black pigment and toothpick. I remember Shawn (Fivestar) did a short video on it once on his FB page. It was filling stitch holes but similar thing.

I got some Clyde's leather balm in the mail today which is meant to help fill cracks, rips, etc. Maybe I'll do a before/after on the areas in question on my jacket.
