That pic brings back memories. I really miss the pheasant and quail hunting we did while living in Nebraska and Kansas. Good times, great dogs.I really like this!

The way farms are clearcut & managed today the quail are almost gone unfortunately. After being in decline for many yrs prairie chickens are on the comeback & Kansas does have a season on them. That pic brings back memories. Log cabin in a can! That's probably the only way I'm ever going to find a log cabin in the woods!
Great learning toy, with visual instructions for several different buildings. Probably the most valuable lesson I learned was how to get the long pieces in. I remember being frustrated when they would all stick out the end and I couldn't get the lid back on. My dad showed me how to lay the can on its side, put in the long pieces then the medium length pieces and finally the shortest. Voila...all in with reeom to spare!Log cabin in a can! It's the dogs. They make everything better.I really like this!

John Seerey-Lester, outdoor & wildlife artist
Looks like our very own Michael A. warming his hands off the campfire.
Mr. Seerey-Lester is a fan of hats himself & frequently has a friend sit & model for his paintings. He had to give him a beard though!
It appears that President George W. Bush is a fan & bought himself some coffee table books.
Some of the work of Nocona Burgess, Comanche artist & great-great grandson of Quanah Parker.
+1I like that style a lot.
