I want to introduce my 'Art' Pie. Let me explain... Art & I had a bit of mis-communication over what I wanted. When I contacted Art with pics of what he made and what I wanted he was very gracious and apologized & with the offer to send the hat back, (on his dime), & rectify the misunderstanding. I said I'd think about it. Well I decided to send it back and have him turn it into the 'Pork' Pie I had originally wanted. I wrote an email to Art telling him I'd pack it up and send it out. I went into the office and to get the hat and the box. When I grabbed the hat & thought about it I just couldn't send it back. The hat is very handsome in a bulldog kinda way lol. So Art that is why you never received the email! I added the feather, from one of my chickens. I found it in the coop, thought it was pretty.

KILLICK: That is one cool hat! I've often thought of a Bowler or Derby type hat to wear with some types of different clothes. Its in the same genre but so much more! Super casual/funky or dresssy this absolutely fits a certain niche. Love it!

Thank you Bob. You've hit the nail right on the head yes casual, funky, dressy all of those.
Art, you are very welcome and maybe you've started a new style of hat!!

Thank you much Bowlerman. The feather is from a Golden Campine. What is odd about this particular feather it has an iridescence at the end which I have never seen on any other of their feathers. So yes it fits the hat! BTW the color is dark cherry.

Yeah Bob Art made a nice one.

Just posted these elsewhere, but Art's masterpieces belong in the Hall of Fame. His latest (a birthday gift from my wife) is a 1930s ArtLite, 2.5 inch brim with wide ribbon (and gold accent on the bow) with wide brim binding. The color is either Chocolate or "Coyote", but either way it is exquisite. The perforated sweatband is soft as butter and the hat is the lightest I own (almost as light as a straw!).

Many thanks to Art, who is a gentleman and an artist.

Literally my pleasure, Art. Thanks again for your hat wizardry and amazing service. (I should point out that the Blue Smoke fedora my son Joseph is wearing is also a VS masterpiece.)
