just started an order with Art today. will be my first custom but not my first VS. Picked up one second hand earlier in the year and am looking to improve on the look for me. Thinking about keeping the crown height the same at 5" but increasing the brim width from 2.25" to 2.75". Probably looking for one in blue smoke or confederate gray. Here's the VS I already own...

I think that one is absolutely PERFECT, K-dog! Super look, as is, my friend! But, then I'm from the stodgy ol' northeast, and I think it ROCKS! Are you still looking for vintage mellon-head size lids? PM me.

Silverbelly Black Ribbon

Art has made perfection again for me. This is the featherweight silverbelly with a 2 3/8 raw brim.
I was amazed at the color when I opened the box. It was exactly what I wanted, and it seemed as Art read my mind when creating this masterpiece. Have received many compliments already on the hat and it definitely turns heads when I am out and about. Felt is soft to the touch.

This is my second VS hat and it won't be my last. Next one I have in mind will probably be a blue smoke or dove.
There is nothing like a hat that perfectly fits your head. This work was worth the wait.

Art if you are reading this I may have a few more customers for you in the near future.

Once again thank you Art for this amazing hat it was a pleasure.

Luis, that is a beautiful hat -- looks great on you. I'm looking forward to your reports on how the Silverbelly Artlite handles Houston's warmth/humidity.

Simon, thank you so much for your kind comments. We will see how it holds up in the Houston summer. I heard the Artlites do great in the heat. It is my favorite hat that I own.

BTW... you may or may not know that ART will be undergoing shoulder surgery this Friday for a torn rotator cuff and may need to wear a sling for a good while for recuperation...
GOOD VIBES and SPEEDY RECOVERY, Sir...!!!
