makes me want to sell all my other brown & black hats & just keep these

the black lite has those cool little vent holes....
perfect go for hats here

Yea that new (vintage)copper he got from France.... cool !Art saved me a slice.
the Black hat i asked Art to Give me the same as the brown hat but wider. he did not have it wider
But score ! the contrast came out killer, He just said he had a special wider brown to get the black hat going.
He explained to me what (Ligne) ment width i think?
man im going to ask him to save another slice of that copper for the future

Ligne is an earlier (pre-metric) unit of length (1 ligne [L] = 0.08881 inches; that makes 11 L close to 1"). Primarily it's used by some watchmakers nowadays, and by hatters for measuring ribbon width. It's actually a very useful unit of length both for remembering and estimating ribbon widths; I think it's more handy than inches for that small range of up to about two inches that the ribbon widths cover.
I made myself a conversion table for L to cm some time ago; now it's actually easier for me to think in terms of ligne than in cm or inches when it comes to ribbon widths.

Seabass; Your Art-Lightweight hats are just plain SLICK. Very sweet fedoras sir. My eyes dart between the rich color of the felts and the contrasting binding and ribbons. I am a fan of your hats. They are terrific. You will have to share some pics of you wearing them on the "What Hat Are You Wearing Thread."

The darker colored felts in the light weight are a great warm weather statement. All to often we get trapped into the white or light color spectrum for the entire summer. In your area of the US you exerience warmer temps for a longer period of the year. I see these as being very functional hats. They have a place in our warmer weather possibilities.....As the afternoon draws on, in the warmer weather, the darker felts get pulled on as you head out to the evening club or other activities. Lots of possibilities for the black and brown. Not to mention they are smooth and classy looking.

As the text above recounts that dark colors work for wamer weather may be the obvious to many, but in my neck of the US it happens rarely.

You are styling Seabass! Nice collaboration with Art. Ribbon color, work and dimensions/flanging is superb. I tip my hat towards Oregon and N. California this morning in respect to the grand hats.
