Thank you, Shadomega. Yes, The overcoat fabric is an 18oz Harris Tweed, a lightweight for spring. It's a rusty-darkish-brown with blackbrown herringbone.

Beautiful! I love Harris Tweed. I have a vintage sportcoat in light weight, with a brown and light blue mix herringbone from El Corte Ingles that goes with nearly everything and is my goto jacket. It's a snug cut, which I prefer the look of, but it is an adjustment when you are more used to the sloppy fit that modern sportcoats are given (at least if you sho off the rack).

Does anyone know if Art is offering different styles in the new Milan straws? I hate to bug the guy until I'm absolutely ready to go with one (meaning: the little woman gives me the green light), and I was wondering if there are other styles available. Rabbit was kind enough to post some pics of his Panamas over on the other thread, but I'm more interested in the Milan styles. Djh's black really blew me away.

Hi Tropicalbob, Welcome to the Lounge. In answer, I can make a milan in every style I can also make a panama. In other words, pretty much unlimited. I don't do Top hats so they are out but everything else is pretty much in play. Please, feel free to call with questions. I'm never too busy to talk!!

Art, thanks for the help, and I just hope UPS can find your place to deliver the check! Also, I have one addition question: any recommendations on controlling the anticipatory anxiety while I wait?

I usually buy hats on eBay and Akubras to hold me over. :D

Art, I think it's amazing that you can actually make a Milan from scratch so to speak. I've seen some of the pics on your website and they just look fantastic. Do you have any pics or video's of you doing this? Or would you rather keep that as a trade secret? Which I would totally understand. Your work just never reaches a pinnacle, it just continues to elevate in quality craftsmanship and creativity.

Hi

My latest from Art.

This one is beaver silvermist, with a deep diamond crease.

I think because of the light colour the creases don't show up to well in these pictures. I think it needs a more noirish lighting scheme to show it off properly. If I have time I'll try and get some more shots tonight.
