Anyone here win the Cavanagh in 7 5/8 Extra Long Oval?

Here it is.

I was tempted! I haven't yet had a chance to handle a Cavanagh yet, and I wanted to give it a shot. I've had two 7 5/8 in Long Oval before. One was a Dobbs that fit me perfectly but I didn't like it so much so I auctioned it, the other was a Knox that went to a member here because it didn't fit at all.

Curious to know if it ended up in this circle. I liked it, but after winning the Stratoliner, I couldn't really swing it.

'Twasn't I! I was watching it for a while - but then I came across a vintage straw gamble (one on the 'bay, two in an online store by the same seller) and that pretty much took all the money I had made selling my hats here!

Don't be too upset

About missing it. The black sweat suggests this is a very late Cav, and at the very end, HCA had abandoned most of the things that made Cavs great. There are a lot of really fine narrow brim cavs from the late 50s and early to mid 60s. But, as far as I've seen, once the black sweat appeared the hats were not good.
