I discovered another use for my end papers--they also make great blotting tissues! I will sometimes use the end papers when I'm curling my hair and I started thinking what else I could use them for. I had gotten mine very cheap, just under $2 at my local Wally World, for 500 papers. Its been very humid here in the Midwest and today I was doing a little housework and my face was really "glowing" (aka 'sweaty'). Since hubby was coming home from a trip, I wanted to freshen up my makeup a bit. In the past, I would try to tone down the moisture by just patting on some more powder, but then I would end up with a not so nice chunky powder look. I just took a couple of the end papers and pressed them around my face (just like you would do with regular blotting tissues) and when the excess moisture/oil was absorbed, I touched up my powder a wee bit and lo, and behold, I looked as fresh as a daisy again!
I even cut off part of a corner of an envelope, making it slightly larger than the size of the papers and slid some papers in and stuck those in my purse. The envelope corner will work until I can find something classier to put them in. I just love it when I can find something that is dual purpose.
I've been trying to find out if the blotting tissues and the end papers are made from the same thing. I know that some of the blotting tissues have powder on them and some do not. I prefer the unpowdered ones and now I can save a bundle by using my end papers.
Just thought I'd share this with you all...
