My parents tree is like that, too. There's all kinds of ornaments that my brother, sister, and I made over the years on it.

My mother still puts up decorations we made in primary school. The Toilet Roll Santas are on the mantlepiece... headed up by one I made in December 1979!

we have a star that has been handed down through my SO's family. Google tells me it's a Noma star from the 50's.
