This was posted on the VLJ forum. I think it's from a (Tanaka?) book. Had to share. So many types of jackets together in one photo.

Great photo, Nick!
I especially like the red ball cap - it's just like the Ebbets Field one you helped me get last week (see the Hats section if anyone here wants to see it - under "Needing help in getting a first class baseball cap. Thanks again, Nick!) !! Man, everyone looks so good in that photo. Very cool.

I wish it was a larger photo, can't tell what's what.

It's out there in a larger format online. I can't remember what I pinged in to find it. Sometimes you can zoom in by clicking on the picture here.

Stand By, good call with the red hat!

I'm having a hard time believing this picture actually happened back then. It almost seems as if part of the objective of the meetup was to show off each other's jackets! What are the odds of everyone showing up wearing such a diverse array of jackets? If that's really how it was back then, find me a one-way time machine!

[QUOTEStand By, good call with the red hat![/QUOTE]

I've just been trying to get some decent photos of me in my ANJ-3 (tricky light today - a lot of contrast!) with the finished and "weathered" Lucky Dog painting for the upcoming thread on How To Paint On A Leather Jacket 101 - and here's the cap! I now see on the photos that it looks more fluorescent than it really is (it's a subdued claret colour) … flukey light today. I'll try again on a more dull day, I think.
Thanks again!

Nice P-40 too - just like the one Pawineguy just posted here at the air museum! Same angle!

Look at the guy in the russet A2(back left). Imagine if he posted here asking how his A2 fitted him … that's how they were and he didn't care.
