That's because nobody even knows what the heck does that word mean, anyway. XD
My favourite, by far.
Rockwell always blows me away. To think he never regarded himself as an artist, he always said he was an illustrator. My favourite of his work is " The Problem We All Live With" when I first saw a copy of it I honestly thought it was a photograph.
I've never seen that one before … I could admire that for ages! So amusing and so right!
And what flesh tones … fantastic.
In a harsh and sometimes abrasive world, I think a little sentimentality is no bad thing …
I love his work.
David Mann is really lame and terribly kitschy, though, and worst of all, he's paying zero attention to jackets.
In the mid-70's, at around age 14-15, I had this exact magazine pullout mounted on the wall of my bedroom, right next to Farrah Fawcett. My mother didn't approve of either.
A little sentimentality - hmm - but this fellow piles it on. I'm put off by the mawkishness. But the great thing is we are free to all have our own tastes.
