Thanks Tim , #1 was the Hat I was talking about , but I love seeing the rest . GORGEOUS !!!
Michael, I didn't see your post on seeing number #1. @Michael R.

The Steel color hat, was my very first hat before Pete, dubbed me Cane's Creations. So I refer to it as pre-cane. Long since gone, as I needed to cover a bill.

I posted that hat to its own thread here several years back. 20 minutes later, I had a request from Pete @pjt13 for a build. Hat number 1 in theory. I believe the color was Sahara.

Showing both, here for you. Taken on a old digital Camara some time back.

A build from when I started. This went to Mike in Texas, @Landman
I wanted to nail, the Shark Gill bow.

That was my second gill. I don't personally like them loosely done; so I like to make them very even, and tight to the hat body.

I was only doing raw edges at the time.

I was also leaving way too much material on the brims then, and not feathering the brim cut. As a newbie then, I was not knowing how far down, I could really get, and mostly just concerned I'd ruin a body.

But as you can see on the build, which I did for @Gunloader55 his brim is very workable, and just as would be expected, of your vintage big brim Fedora. It'll take anything you throw at it.

Getting hurt in 2013, and losing a job shortly after, was a game changer/life changer.

But it opened the door for me to dedicate many hours to personal artistic growth.

The hats of 2016-2017 are a testament to that.

These pictures are old builds, but were still very nicely made hats. And that shark gill, got me a re-order from Mike.

I explored looks, with ribbon on this build, to see in which direction it might go. Mike chose the mid ribbon for the build.

Jeez Tim, even your "early" builds look better than a lot of modern production hats I've seen. The quality of your work and your attention to detail were evident right from the start.
Yes indeed...Tim just has some natural born talent for having a great way to put his own artistic abilities in what he does on hats. I think every hat maker has their own "mark" on what they make, and for me Tim's spin on what he does just happens to be so eye catching and desirable.
